On 12 and 13 November 2018 the second Working Group for the development of an online HELP course on CPT Standards was held at the Council of Europe premises in Strasbourg.
The HELP course on CPT Standards will be used to train a wide range of professionals in Georgia and other pilot countries on the standards of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT). The members of the Working Group, which includes current and former CPT members, delivered short presentations about their respective contribution and agreed on first draft of the model course outline and format, overall learning objectives and changes to be made in the respective contributions and on the list of multimedia tools to be added.
The working group meeting was organised jointly by the HELP Programme and the CPT Secretariat of the Council of Europe, under the framework of the European Union – Council of Europe joint project “Strengthening the Application of the European Convention on Human Rights in Georgia”, within the European Union and Council of Europe Partnership for Good Governance.
