Training of Trainers (ToT) course on “Prevention and Combatting of Torture, Ill-treatment and Impunity” for the representatives of the People’s Advocate Office and members of the National Council for Prevention of Torture (NPM) of the Republic of Moldova is being organised within the framework of the Council of Europe project “Support to Criminal Justice Reforms to the Republic of Moldova”, funded by the Government of Denmark.

The ToT course consists of two parts: the first part is devoted to the adult learning methodology, and the second, substantial part of the ToT, covers the national and international legislative aspects on the prevention and combating of torture and ill-treatment, as well as the methodology and best practices on carrying out monitoring visits in the places of deprivation of liberty. The ToT course is being delivered in two training sessions on 26-29 June and 10-13 July 2017.

The objective of the ToT course is to prepare a group of trainers from the staff members of the People’s Advocate Office of the Republic of Moldova and the Moldovan NPM, approximately 20 persons, for delivering further training to their peers on the topics covered within the ToT.
