Roeland Böcker was accredited as the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Council of Europe in 2017. Since 2019, he is the chair of the Committee of Ministers’ Rapporteur Group on Human Rights (GR-H). Before his appointment to Strasbourg, Mr Böcker was his Government’s Agent to the European Court of Human Rights. He has also acted as substitute judge in the Hague District Court and as substitute member of the Equal Treatment Commission.
