Résumé
Ce texte propose une brève introduction à la partie de la plateforme qui traite des langues minoritaires et des langues des migrants dans les systèmes éducatifs. L'expression langues régionales ou minoritaires est utilisée pour se référer aux langues autochtones traditionnellement employées par un groupe minoritaire sur une longue période à l'intérieur d'un pays, ainsi qu'aux langues dépourvues de territoire (comme le romani) et aux langues des signes. « Langues des migrants » est une expression utilisée pour se référer aux langues maternelles des enfants immigrés, dans lesquelles ils ont des capacités linguistiques variables en fonction de la fréquence de leur pratique et du soutien apporté à ces langues.

Résumé
Toute construction de connaissances en contexte scolaire, quelles que soient les disciplines considérées, passe par un travail langagier. Le présent texte vise à proposer une démarche générale permettant de caractériser par des catégories descriptives transversales différents niveaux de spécification de ces dimensions langagières. Il s’agit de décrire le cheminement qui, à partir d’unités d’analyse d’usages effectifs aboutit à l’identification de formes et fonctionnements linguistiques appropriés à ces usages. Il s’adresse aux auteurs de curriculums et de manuels, aux concepteurs de tests, mais aussi aux enseignants et notamment à ceux des matières parfois dites bien à tort « non linguistiques » afin d’attirer l’attention de ces derniers sur les composantes langagières du travail de leur discipline. Il concerne aussi les formateurs d’enseignants, en particulier ceux qui ont la charge des enseignements autres que de langue comme matière.

Résumé
Pour obtenir de bons résultats scolaires, les élèves issus de l’immigration ne doivent pas seulement pouvoir s’exprimer avec aisance dans la langue de scolarisation : ils doivent également maîtriser les divers types de discours académiques spécifiques aux différentes matières du curriculum. Etant donné que le savoir est pratiquement indissociable de la langue qui le concrétise, le projet « Langues dans l’éducation, langues pour l’éducation » défend l’idée que tous les enseignants doivent être des enseignants de langue, au sens où ils connaissent les exigences langagières de leur(s) matière(s) et les stratégies appropriées de soutien linguistique. Cette étude propose quelques solutions possibles.

Overview
La présente étude aborde la question du diagnostic des compétences en langues dans les contextes éducatifs multilingues, et ce, tout particulièrement sous l’angle des besoins des enfants et adolescents issus de l’immigration. Elle résume les objectifs, fonctions et principes de ce type de diagnostic (notamment l’évaluation formative) en tant que composante à part entière d’une éducation continue aux langues qui promeut un enseignement et un apprentissage personnalisés. Sur le plan théorique, les méthodes de diagnostic des compétences en langues dans les contextes multilingues définissent l’apprentissage des langues comme une activité socio-culturelle.

Résumé
La diversité linguistique est devenue une caractéristique fréquente des écoles. A ce titre, elle mérite d’occuper une place centrale dans l’action pédagogique des éducateurs et des enseignants. La plupart des enfants issus de l’immigration mènent des vies bilingues voire plurilingues, apportant de multiples langues et compétences langagières dans les écoles. Cette étude s’intéresse aux méthodes permettant d’organiser l’intégration linguistique des enfants et des jeunes bilingues et plurilingues en s’appuyant sur une collaboration entre les élèves, les parents, les enseignants et d’autres spécialistes de l’éducation ainsi qu’entre les établissements scolaires et d’autres institutions.
