In response to refugee influx to Armenia, Council of Europe launches a series of capacity-building sessions for healthcare professionals

In response to the refugee influx to Armenia, in March 2024, around 65 healthcare professionals from the Karabakh region participated in two sessions of capacity-building program aiming to refine their expertise in crucial areas such as human rights principles in healthcare and biomedicine, as well as familiarise them with their rights and responsibilities within the Armenian healthcare sector.

The aim of these training sessions was to facilitate the smooth integration of healthcare professionals from the Karabakh region into the Armenian healthcare system. Equipped with their expertise and experiences, these professionals are ready to make significant contributions to the healthcare landscape in Armenia. The capacity-building activities they underwent serve as a foundation for utilising their potential effectively within the Armenian healthcare sector.
