A roundtable focused on improving and strengthening co-ordination and co-operation among key national stakeholders for the execution of European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) judgments in Georgia was held on 27 September 2024.
Discussions centred on the National Strategy and Action Plan for the Execution of the European Court Judgments in Georgia in particular on sub-goals related to the execution process.
During the meeting, participants explored the possibility of developing a guideline on co-ordination and agreed to continue discussions on this matter in the future.
Key stakeholders in the execution process, including representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Special Investigative Agency, the Ministry of Interior, and the Parliament of Georgia, attended the meeting, alongside representatives from the Council of Europe, namely from the European Court and the Department for the Execution of Judgments.
The event was organised within the Project "Reinforcing National Execution of the European Court's Judgments by Georgia." The Project is a part of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2024-2027.
