The 2nd Project Steering Committee Meeting, of the EU/CoE Partnership for Good Governance Project “Strengthening the anti-money laundering institutions in Georgia” took place on 23 February 2018 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Representatives of project’s main counterparts and beneficiary institutions as well as the representatives of the EU Delegation to Georgia (EUD) attended the meeting. The meeting provided a venue for the project team to report on activities and progress made since project’s launch as well as discuss the results with the Steering Committee Members. Furthermore the members of the Steering Committee discussed the implementation of the project in 2018 and endorsed priority areas and timeline of activities as presented in the Project Workplan for 2018.
The members of the Steering Committee stressed the importance of the project and reiterated their strong commitment and support to continued cooperation for Council of Europe’s technical assistance within the project to combat economic crime in Georgia.
