The project additionally co-operates with different state institutions and non-governmental organisations international and donor organisations working in the field of combating violence against women and domestic violence.
The project aims to:
- Enhance the quality of the judicial response to cases of violence against women and domestic violence in line with the standards of the Council of Europe Istanbul Convention through trainings, peer-to-peer exchanges and expert support to prosecutors and legal professionals.
- Strengthen the knowledge of officials and non-governmental organisations on European standards, notably the Council of Europe Istanbul Convention, related to violence against women and domestic violence through a research study, targeted events/workshops, dissemination of relevant materials and by providing technical expertise.
- Raise awareness on the Council of Europe Istanbul Convention and its standards among relevant stakeholders.
Length of the Project
The Project runs from 1 February 2018 until 30 September 2019
