To celebrate the International Day of Women Judges, on the initiative of the Bureau of Chairperson of Tbilisi Court of Appeal, in cooperation with the Association of Women Judges of Georgia and the High School of Justice, with the support of the Council of Europe project "Promoting an integrated approach to prevent violence against women and enhancing gender equality in Georgia", an essay contest "Women in Justice, women for justice" is announced.
Bachelor students of higher educational institutions can participate in the competition. The length of the essay should be a minimum of 800 and a maximum of 1000 words and should address the theme of the contest, including issues such as women in justice, combating and preventing violence against women and domestic violence. The deadline for submitting papers is February 28 (11:59 p.m.).

Papers will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
• originality of thinking;
• analysis;
• justification;
• stylistics;
• adherence to academic writing standards.
The authors of the best essays will be invited to the event planned on 10th of March,on the International Day of Women Judges in Georgia which will be celebrated for the first time, that will aim to better present the role of women judges in the effective administration of justice and the strengthening the rule of law. At the event, students will meet female judges, experts in the field and discuss current and problematic legal issues related to women's rights; Also, there will be a discussion on strengthening the role of women in justice and other topics.
At the end of the event, there will be an awarding ceremony for the successful participants of the competition.
