Retour 15th European Platform for Youth Centres of the Quality Label Network

15th European Platform for Youth Centres of the Quality Label Network

The annual European Platform for Youth Centres took place between 7-8 May 2024 at the European Youth Centre in Budapest. The meeting, which brough together the directors and managers of the network, was attended by 14 labelled centres and several other candidate centres, including representatives from Georgia, Germany, Italy, Moldova and Greece.

The gathering was also an opportunity for the network to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the programme and the 75th anniversary of the Council of Europe.

The thematic focus of this year’s meeting was on strategic communication and the creation of impactful and positive narratives of the Quality Labelled youth centres. With the aim to encourage further cooperation between youth centres, the Luxembourgish communications agency, LOLA Strategy & Design, helped organise a series of practical workshops during the two days. Through interactive sessions and presentations, participants explored how to best build a common narrative for their youth centres, as well as for the wider network.

Directors and managers were also provided with the latest updates of the Council of Europe’s youth sector and the preparations for the upcoming 4th European youth Work Convention (EYWC) and the Inter-ministerial Youth Conference of the Council of Europe, both to be held in Malta, including exchanges on possible follow-up measures.

The Platform meeting was also an opportunity to launch the preparations of the  high level events of the Quality Label Programme in the framework of the future Luxemburgish chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
