 Organisers

European Union of the Deaf Youth (EUDY) is a European non-profit organisation whose membership comprises 30 youth national associations of the deaf in Europe. Established in 1987, EUDY is the only organisation representing the interests of the Deaf Young Europeans in Europe. EUDY strives to foster the personal development of the Deaf young persons with a sign language in Europe and to further mutual understanding to advance and protect the rights of and opportunities for the Deaf Young Europeans.

 Outcomes

EUDY was aiming to inform their members and the Deaf youth in Europe as much as possible on their rights, the opportunities presented to them as well as the actions. In this view the participants of the study session produced daily reports in video, where some participants were invited to present their opinion on the days of the study session. Videos allowed the participants to express what they learnt and to feel empowered via social media in sign language. Videos are available here.
