EYC Strasbourg
11-17 September 2024
The 30 youth trainers and youth workers taking part in TRAYCE have been working and learning together since March 2023. During the course each participant developed their own training practice activity and designed an educational product. The educational products designed in the course are created to support or inform non-formal education practitioners and vary in format between games, manuals, tools and articles.
All participants of TRAYCE are active as educators and trainers in the youth field, working with a diversity of target groups and issues. In TRAYCE, they are supported to get closer to the priorities and values of the Council of Europe, and develop their own competences as trainers in this regard. The course builds on a competence framework for youth trainers, specifically developed for TRAYCE in 2022.
The course has been developed to support the implementation of the Council of Europe youth sector strategy 2030 by developing the competences of youth trainers and sustaining the quality of non-formal education and training activities. The residential seminar focuses on consolidating learning from the individual and online features of the course, and on supporting participants with their next steps as trainers.
Following TRAYCE, participants of the course will be equipped to carry out training activities in their different contexts with an increased set of capacities, tools and ways of working.
