Aim:
The aim of this study session is to further raise awareness and develop the skills of young people regarding intercultural dialogue and non-violent communication among young people in Europe.
Objectives:
- 1. Raise awareness and enhance understanding of the importance of intercultural dialogue on an everyday basis, both in the local and in the international levels.
- 2. Increase participants’ capacity to advocate for intercultural dialogue and non-violent communication by exchanging opinions, knowledge and good practices, ensuring mutual learning among the participants.
- 3. Train young people using innovative and non-formal education methodologies on intercultural dialogues and non-violent communication, including its principles, approaches and practical implementation.
- 4. Make this study session a space of young people who will continue to contribute to youth participation initiatives after the activity ends, advocating for policy changes related to the topics discussed in the study session.
About the organisation:
The World Esperanto Youth Organisation (Tutmonda Esperantista Junulara Organizo, TEJO) is an organisation of young esperanto speakers with individual members and country sections in around 50 countries. TEJO itself is the youth section of the Universal Esperanto Association (UEA: Universala Esperanto Asocio). Its main seat is located in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
