The joint launching event for development of a new training course "Rights and Obligations in Sport" took place on 26 October at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). The event was organized jointly by the Council of Europe, Ministry of Sport of Russia and MGIMO University according to the Anti-Doping Action Plan jointly implemented by the Russian Federation and the Council of Europe.
The new pilot training course will be developed within the pan-European HELP Programme of the Council of Europe and coordinated by the European Studies Institute of MGIMO University. The course aims at establishing a modern and accessible legal curriculum designed for professional training and awareness-raising of all stakeholders with regard to rights and obligations related to sports. In accordance with the HELP program strategy, the pilot course will be based on the integration of national and international legal sources, including the Council of Europe conventions in the fields of anti-doping, security and service approach at sports events and manipulation of sports competitions.
