The Bureau of the Congress will meet in Strasbourg, France, on 28 October 2019, and will discuss in particular the draft agenda of the 37th session of the Congress (October 29-31, 2019) to be opened the next day by Congress President Anders Knape.
Among the items on the agenda of the Bureau are also the situation of local and regional democracy in Europe, particularly in Albania, Azerbaijan, as well as in Turkey following a monitoring visit carried out in this country from 1 to 3 October 2019. An agenda item will also focus on the preliminary findings of the observation mission for local and regional elections in Moldova (20 October 2019).
In addition, Bureau members will discuss the South Mediterranean Partnership, including the the granting of the status of Partner for Local Democracy to the Congress by the Republic of Tunisia which is on the agenda of the 37th session. .
Finally, the terms of reference for the Congress's future priorities for 2021-2024 will be debated by Bureau members.
