Descrizione: Governing body of the Principality of Asturias.
Tito Bustillo Cave in Ribadesella contains a large ensemble of representations of animals and signs, painted in red and black, belonging to different periods in the Upper Palaeolithic, above all the Magdalenian. Its Rock Art Centre has a hall for cultural events, an area for educational workshops and a space for temporary exhibitions. The large permanent exhibition is devoted to Tito Bustillo Cave and Asturian rock art (www.prehistour.eu/carp-guide/tito-bustillo-caves-and-rock-art-centre).
The Teverga Prehistoric Park is a modern and fully equipped interpretaction centre providing information about the art of the Upper Palaeolithic in Europe. A large sample of this art is on display in the form of replicas of important examples of rock art and reproductions of portable art objects. Among other sites represented, there are such important European Palaeolithic caves as Altamira, Covalanas, Lascaux, Niaux, Chauvet, Tito Bustillo, Candamo, Covaciella and Llonin.
