Professor Elin Haf Gruffydd Jones (Mercator International) has had an academic career in the field of minority languages for three decades and has published widely on these themes. She was appointed member of the Council of Europe Expert Group on Media in 2017 in preparation of the 20th anniversary of the European Charter for Regional and Minority Languages. She speaks seven languages.
