This manual explores how community policing can serve as a guiding principle for police services. It is primarily intended for local police officers, high-ranking officials, public safety directors, and decision-makers. The manual provides a practical guide to implementing inclusive policing principles, helping to design new procedures, protocols, structures, and specialised units within police forces.
By adopting a community policing approach, law enforcement can more effectively contribute to peaceful coexistence in diverse societies in the medium and long term.
The translation of this manual into Finnish was carried out within the framework of the European Union/Council of Europe joint project “Building an Inclusive Integration Approach in Finland”.
