Recommendation of the Comittee of Ministers on Multilevel policies and governance for intercultural integration translated into Finnish

The Recommendation CM/Rec(2022)10 on Multilevel policies and governance for intercultural integration, adopted by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on 6 April 2022, has been translated into Finnish within the European Union/Council of Europe joint project “Building an inclusive integration approach in Finland”.

According to the Recommendation, national integration strategies should be based on the four key principles of the intercultural integration model: real equality; diversity as a collective advantage; meaningful intercultural interaction; and active citizenship and participation. Based on the recommendation’s guidance, intercultural integration strategies should be designed based on evidence, in a participatory manner, and implemented in cooperation and coordination with all levels of governments.

The Finnish version of the Recommendation will be printed and disseminated to the relevant stakeholders taking part in the project.

The joint project “Building an inclusive integration approach in Finland” is co-funded by the European Union via the Technical Support Instrument and the Council of Europe, and implemented by the Council of Europe in co-operation with the European Commission.
