2. Des critères spécifiques sont-ils retenus pour l’accès à la PMA ?
Raisons médicales :
a. Infertilité
i. pour les couples hétérosexuels ? Oui/Non
ii. pour les femmes ne vivant pas en couple hétérosexuel Oui/Non
Les raisons médicales servent de critères pour l’accès à la PMA dans le système public de santé. Dans la pratique, les raisons de l’infertilité ne sont pas toujours connues et cela n’empêche pas les centres spécialisés du secteur public de donner accès au traitement, en particulier aux couples hétérosexuels (autrement dit, l’accès au traitement ne repose pas toujours sur un état pathologique diagnostiqué). Un autre motif invoqué pour refuser l’accès à la PMA aux couples de lesbiennes et aux femmes célibataires est le manque de gamètes disponibles issus de dons. Ces critères ne sont toutefois pas prévus dans la législation.
b. Risque de transmission d’une maladie (préciser le risque et/ou la maladie)
i. pour les couples hétérosexuels ? Oui
ii. pour les femmes ne vivant pas en couple hétérosexuel Oui
La PMA ne peut être pratiquée si la grossesse pose un risque élevé pour la santé de la femme ou de l’enfant en raison de l’âge ou de l’état de santé de celle-ci. Le donneur ne peut donner de gamètes s’il présente une maladie héréditaire grave ou toute maladie transmissible susceptible de provoquer une pathologie grave chez la femme qui bénéficie d’une procédure de traitement de l’infertilité ou de l’enfant pouvant être issu de cette procédure.
