The European seminar for legal professionals on data protection and privacy rights was held in Bordeaux on 2 June 2015. It was organised in the framework of the HELP in the 28 project, in co-operation with the Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature (ENM).
The seminar was targeted at legal professionals from the European Union (EU) countries who gathered at the premises of the ENM to exchange best practices in terms of training on fundamental rights. Participants could attend presentations delivered by international keynote speakers, such as Mr Christopher Dockksey, Director of the Office of the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS), Ms Rachael Kondak, Research Division of the European Court of Human Rights, Ms Elise Degrave, Faculté de Droit, Université de Namur, and Dorota Glowacka, University of Lodz, coordinator of the Observatory of Media Freedom in Poland - Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.
The conclusion from the seminar will be used as a basis for the development of a curriculum on data protection and privacy rights.
