On 20 June 2022, at the Council of Europe's Paris Office, Alan Mitchell, President of the CPT, met Lourdes Ciuró i Buldó, Councillor for Justice (Consellera de Justícia) of the autonomous regional government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Cataluña), assisted by Sergi Blàzquez, Secretary for Penal Sanctions, Rehabilitation and Victim Support of the Government of Catalonia, Josep Maria Galí, Delegate of the Government of Catalonia in France, and Anna Viladevall Corominas, Attaché for Institutional Relations.
The purpose of the meeting was to inform the CPT of recent developments concerning the prison policy pursued by the Catalan authorities.
