- Description
- The Hungarian Garden Heritage Foundation (MKA) is a non-governmental umbrella organisation of professionals, established to complement, integrate, and support the activities of existing organisations active in heritage protection. MKA brings together and oversees initiatives for the research, management, and development of the entire Hungarian garden heritage, and takes an active and proactive role in their implementation. It involves economic and social actors in the promotion of the heritage. MKA participates in the development and preparation of legal regulations for the protection of the garden heritage and initiates the designation of sites worthy of protection.
MKA represents the Esterházy Castle Park (Esterházy-kastélypark) in Fertőd within the European Route of Historic Gardens.
