On 28 June , the Execution Department organised a videoconference with the new Institut fédéral des droits humains and the Conseil central de surveillance pénitentiaire, independent human rights protection bodies in Belgium.
Discussions focused on the procedure for the execution of judgments, in particular Rule 9.2 which allows NHRIs and NGOs to participate by submitting written communications:
Belgian cases, the execution of which is currently under the supervision of the Committee of Ministers, have been discussed with a view to a possible enhanced collaboration in the context of certain cases.
