The Steering Committee for Human Rights in the fields of Biomedicine and Health (CDBIO) of the Council of Europe, in cooperation with the Ombudsman of the Republic of Latvia and the University of Latvia, has the pleasure to invite you to a Conference focusing on the respect for autonomy in mental healthcare.

The Conference is held under the Latvian Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. 

The event will be preceded on 13 November by a Symposium for legal professionals that will look at autonomy in mental healthcare from a legal perspective. This side event is organised by the Ombudsman of the Republic of Latvia and the University of Latvia. Both events will be held in-person and live streamed.
