Ljudmila Popović is Full Professor of Ukrainian Studies at Belgrade University, since 2009. She has been a member of the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages in respect of Serbia since 2018. All her scientific works (6 monographs and more than 200 papers) are based on the results of research in the field of cognitive linguistics, discourse analysis and Slavic languages as minority languages. She has been a mentor of 10 PhD dissertations based in research on Ukrainian, Serbian, Slovak, Russian, Ruthenian. Since 2004 she has been also Professor at the Ukrainian Free University in Munich. In 2008 she was honored by “Princess Olga” Order by the President of Ukraine and in May 2022, the Donetsk National University Vasyl Stus, based in Vinnytsia, awarded her the title of Doctor Honoris Causa.
