At its 25th meeting, held in Cyprus on 15-18 October, the Lanzarote Committee adopted a Declaration on protecting children in out-of-home care from sexual exploitation and sexual abuse.
The Committee calls upon the State Parties to the Lanzarote Convention, in particular, to strengthen and support families before resorting to out-of-home care.
