2018-2019: Handbook on access to rights, child-friendly information and procedures for children in migration
On the basis of the findings from the round-table and following a call for contributions of good practices, the Council of Europe drafted a handbook for practitioners on access to rights, child-friendly information and procedures for children in migration with a view to reinforcing children’s access to rights across the Council of Europe.

2017-2018: Round table on Child-friendly information for children in migration
The Council of Europe held a round-table on child-friendly information for children in migration to gather the views and recommendations of government and local authorities, child-protection authorities, border and asylum officials, Ombudspersons for children, civil society actors and children who have participated in consultations.

2017: Child participation
Taking into account that children have the right to be heard, the Council of Europe held child-participation workshops in Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece and Hungary for children who have experienced migration. Children shared their views and recommendations about the information they have received.

Review of the implementation of the life projects recommendation (CM/Rec (2007)9)
Children who will remain in Europe should have access to durable solutions for their integration.
The Committee of Ministers Recommendation on life projects for unaccompanied migrant minors (2007)9 provides practical tools for States to favour children’s integration. Ten years on, the Council of Europe will conduct a review of the implementation of this recommendation and develop practical tools for States to facilitate implementation of life projects for unaccompanied children.
