The Commission nationale consultative des droits de l’homme (CNCDH) has submitted a communication to the Committee of Ministers in the case of Khan, highlighting shortcomings in the reception system for unaccompanied foreign minors.
In its judgment of February 2019, the Court found a violation of the Convention due to the degrading treatment of a 12-year-old minor given the authorities’ failure to provide him with care and protection for several months in 2015-2016 in the “lande de Calais”.
The authorities' response of 26 July 2019 was published jointly with the CNCDH communication.
