The Committee of Ministers has received three communications from National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) for cases on the agenda of its upcoming Human Rights meeting from 5 to 7 June. These communications concern the implementation of the ECHR judgments in Moustahi against France, in the Tsintsabadze group against Georgia, and in the Cristian Teodorescu group against Romania.
The implementation of ECHR judgments is a shared responsibility and NHRIs have a key role to play in this process. In April 2021, the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) launched an interactive resource hub with guidance on the implementation of ECHR judgments, which was supported by the Execution Department. Its aim is to guide NHRIs in their efforts to enhance their work on the implementation of the ECHR judgments at national and international level. It compiles existing resources and tools on this issue as well as available key lessons learned and existing NHRI good practices.
