Representatives of national entities in Cyprus participated in an “Intercultural competences and training needs assessment session" in Nicosia on 15-16 January 2024. The participants included representatives of the Ministries of Labour and Social Insurance, Education, Labour, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and the Union of Cyprus Communities amongst others.
The training included an introduction to intercultural competences and was an opportunity to assess further training needs required to build the capacity of national level representatives who will become “Focal Points for Integration” and will contribute to the drafting of a national integration strategy for Cyprus.
The training was organised in the framework of the “Enhancing structures and policies for intercultural integration in Cyprus” project co-funded by the European Union via the Technical Support Instrument, and implemented by the Council of Europe, in cooperation with the European Commission.
