It is not always possible to make the journey to visit the Council of Europe in Strasbourg’s European Quarter. So take a virtual tour of our buildings from your computer, smartphone or mobile device. Share a glimpse or our day-to-day life as an intergovernmental organisation active in defending human rights, promoting democracy, and protecting the rule of law in 46 countries across Europe.

European Youth Centre

Former human rights building ​​​​​

European Audiovisual Observatory – Villa Schutzenberger
This art nouveau gem was built in 1900 for the Schutzenberger family. It houses the European Audiovisual Observatory, the Council of Europe’s information gathering centre for data and analysis of the cinema, television and VOD industries in Europe.
