European Ministers of Justice are meeting in Brussels today and tomorrow for the latest in a series of conferences looking at reform of the European Convention on Human Rights and the system behind it.
The conference, part of the Belgian chairmanship of the Council of Europe, will focus on how to improve the implementation of judgments from the Strasbourg court.
Figures published on Monday showed that nearly 11,000 judgments have yet to be put into practice, with over 80% of those being repetitive cases underlining problems which have already been highlighted by the court.
