Procedures for visas

With regard to the formalities for obtaining a visa, if you are a citizen of a country requiring a visa for entry into the Russian Federation , we invite you to make your application at the Embassy or the Consulate nearest to your place of residence (see list attached) as soon as possible .
In order to accelerate your visa application, we kindly ask you to fill in the visa application form attached and to return it, along with a photocopy of the first page of your passport (the page with your photograph), as soon as possible, by 29 September 2006 at the latest, to the two people indicated on the visa request form (Imogen Hattenville and Nikolai Kartsev).
Your passport has to be valid at least three months after 15 November 2006.
The Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation will return your application (a certificate) directly to the Embassy or to the Consulate at which you made your original application and you will then be able to collect your visa (approximately two weeks after your application - please contact them first to check your visa is ready).

SUMMARY OF THE PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED:

1. Fill the visa request form attached;
2. Send it as soon as possible (before 29 September 2006) to the two people indicated on the form (Imogen Hattenville - Nikolai Kartsev);
3. Contact the Embassy/Consulate nearest to your place of residence (see attached list) in order to deposit your visa application;
4. Telephone the Embassy/Consulate after about two weeks to check if your visa can be collected;
5. Collect your visa.
