Geri European Institute of Cultural Routes: Board meeting and General Assembly

On 1 March, the Board of Directors of the European Institute of Cultural Routes (EICR) held its meeting and a General Assembly at the Centre culturel de l'Abbaye de Neumünster in Luxembourg.

The Board of Directors was chaired by Ambassador Jean Claude KUGENER - President of the IEIC, and Director of Consular Affairs and International Cultural Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

During the meeting, the members of the Board of Directors reviewed IEIC's activities for 2023, and also discussed the activities planned for 2024. The meeting also provided an opportunity to present the conclusions of the IEIC Financial Audit for 2023 conducted by the auditing firm Grant Thornton. The General Meeting also saw the renewal of the mandates of all the members of the Board (see full list here).

The European Institute of Cultural Routes (EICR) is the technical agency of the Council of Europe's Cultural Routes programme, set up in 1998 under an agreement between the Council of Europe and the government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and located in Neumünster Abbey in Luxembourg. The Institute assists the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe with the certification cycles for cultural routes that have already been certified, and supports networks applying for "Cultural Route" certification.
