- The Pripyat-Stokhid National Nature Park (est. 2007) was created for the purpose of preserving, reproducing and rationally using the typical and unique natural ecosystem of Polesia, which have important environmental, scientific, aesthetic, recreational and health values; developing neglected types of economy; raising the level of environmental awareness of the population.
