- The Royal Gunpowder Mills of Waltham Abbey were one of the three Royal Gunpowder Mills in the United Kingdom, operational for over 300 years and it is the only still intact. The site includes a museum and a lengthy network of waterways and railways, and twelve metre reservoir for testing water bombs.
The Royal Gunpowder Mills of Waltham Abbey are an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
