Adela is a social entrepreneur and the Co-founder of the Melting Pot. As a former academic, Adela’s expertise is on migration, ethnicity and international relations. The Melting Pot is a social entrepreneurship project based on two interdependent activities: incubator of immigrant food entrepreneurs and market place diversity. The main identified needs of immigrant food entrepreneurs: lack of knowledge of business conditions (legal terms, finances, etc.), administrative and legal barriers and difficulties in getting financed. The social impact we wish to create includes 10 new food entrepeneurship projects every year and the Melting Pot Place which is a window to our cultural diversity that will contribute to transform social discourse on migration and diversity in a positive way.
