Albania
EU/CoE Joint Programme "Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Albania (SEJ IV)"
January 2023 – December 2026
Supporting the justice governing institutions and courts in the implementation of the reforms aimed at increasing the efficiency and quality of justice system based on the CEPEJ tools and methodologies as adapted in the Albanian context.
Bosnia and Herzegovina
EU/CoE Joint Programme "Strengthening the Efficiency and Quality of Justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiHSEJ)"
January 2023 – December 2026
Supporting the Bosnia and Herzegovina judiciary to improve efficiency and quality of the justice system in accordance with the standards and tools developed by the CEPEJ.
Georgia
EU/CoE Joint Programme "Support to modernisation of court management in Georgia"
March 2023 – February 2026
Assisting the improvement of the efficiency of the Georgian judicial system, notably in reducing backlogs and length of proceedings, facilitating the modernisation of court management including through implementation of new cyber justice tools, building the capacity of justice professionals, as well as increasing judges' referrals to mediation and improving data collection of mediation cases based on the CEPEJ Mediation Development Toolkit.

EU/CoE Joint Programme "Towards a better evaluation of the results of judicial reforms in the Western Balkans"
2023 – 2026
Supporting the beneficiaries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo*) in their efforts to achieve an effective, systematic and data-based monitoring and evaluation on the quality, efficiency, independence and accountability of their justice systems, allowing them to assess the impact of their judicial reform efforts.

CEPEJ Study for the "EU Justice Scoreboard"
2012 - current moment
Since 2012, the European Commission for the efficiency of justice (CEPEJ) carries out, upon the request of the European Commission, an annual study which constitutes one of the core sources of the "EU Justice Scoreboard" published by the European Commission.
Azerbaijan
EU/CoE Joint Programme "Fostering mediation in Azerbaijan"
March 2023 – February 2026
Improving recourse to mediation in Azerbaijan, based on the Law on Mediation adopted in 2019, via increasing the availability and the quality of mediation services, further strengthening the capacities of mediators, in particular through training, and by raising awareness on mediation amongst justice sector professionals and citizens.
Kosovo*
EU/CoE Joint Programme "Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Kosovo* (KoSEJ III)"
January 2023– December 2026
Supporting the work of beneficiaries in introducing new tools on judicial time management, quality of justice, digitalisation of justice, etc. based on CEPEJ tools and practices.
* This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo Declaration of Independence".
Morocco
EU/CoE Joint Programme "Towards a More Protective, Accessible, and Effective Justice in Morocco » (MA-JUST)"

Improve access to law and justice for all, including the most vulnerable populations, and enhance the efficiency and the quality of the Moroccan justice system.
Republic of Moldova
EU/CoE Joint Programme "Support to further modernisation of court management in the Republic of Moldova"
March 2023 – February 2026
Promoting further modernisation of the judicial administration, improving the evaluation, efficiency, and quality of the functioning of courts, in particular by strengthening the court management and preventing backlogs, improving the transparency, communication, and accessibility of courts, as well as the public trust and user satisfaction, in line with European standards.
Regional programme “Justice Dashboard Eastern Partnership”
EU/CoE Joint Programme "Support for a better evaluation of the results of judicial reform efforts in the Eastern Partnership"
January 2021 – July 2025
Supporting the Eastern partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine ) in their efforts to achieve an effective, systematic and data-based monitoring and evaluation on the quality, efficiency, independence and accountability of their justice systems allowing them to assess the impact of their judicial reform efforts.
Regional programme “South Programme V”
EU/CoE Joint Programme "Protecting human rights, rule of law and democracy through shared standards in the Southern Mediterranean"
September 2022 – August 2025
Strengthening the capacities of the Southern Mediterranean beneficiaries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine* and Tunisia) in the field of implementation of judicial reforms and the efficiency and the quality of justice systems, and reinforcing the dialogue and networking between justice professionals, institutions and bodies at national, regional and international level.
* This designation shall not be construed as recognition of a State of Palestine and is without prejudice to the individual positions of Council of Europe and European Union member States on this issue.
