Prevent and combat violence against women and human trafficking - Norway grants projects
The projects aim at bringing about substantive changes on the ground for the benefit of the victims and building up countries’ capacity to prevent and combat violence against women and human trafficking.
The Council of Europe also provides strategic advice to both the donor and beneficiary countries by identifying priority areas for action. The Council of Europe advice is based on its standards and monitoring mechanisms in these areas, namely the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (Istanbul Convention) and the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings.
