The 4^th Summit has given an effective impetus to the CoE’s relations with other international organisations, as described in document CM(2024)76 - Council of Europe’s relations with other international organisations. 

In this context, relations with the Organization of American States (OAS) and the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) have also been strengthened. Possible development of co-operation with ASEAN, the League of Arab States, the African Union, the Ibero-American system and the Union for the Mediterranean is being considered. Other international, regional and sub-regional organisations can provide, as relevant, additional platforms for the CoE outreach towards non-European states.
