On 1 November 2021, an event dedicated to engaging students into more pro-active and participative schooling environment took place in Elbasan. The event was organised as a part of #SWEDENOnTour.

Within the framework of the project Strengthening Democratic Citizenship Education in Albania, funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), 25 pilot schools lay foundation for future network of democratic and inclusive schools in Albania. 7 out of the 25 pilot schools are in Elbasan and one of these schools, Ali Agjah, presented an exposé on the school of their dreams as a part of #DriveforDemocracy initiative and the work done within the project, which attracted attention of the participants. The ambassador of Sweden in Albania H.E. Elsa Håstad highlighted the importance of strengthening democratic culture and educating for democracy in Albania, including through Sida supported projects and valued its co-operation with the Council of Europe.
