Ahead of the International Women’s Day, the EDVAW Platform comprising seven United Nations and regional independent expert mechanisms on violence against women and women’s rights operating at the international and regional levels, has issued a statement reaffirming the urgent need to eliminate violence and discrimination against women and girls and to push back against the alarming regression in gender equality worldwide.
