On 17 November, the Council of Europe Office in Baku and the Faculty of Law of the Baku State University organised an international conference “European Convention on Human Rights and Azerbaijan: achievements and prospects” in Baku. The conference is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the entry into force of the European Convention on Human Rights.

High-level representatives of the Council of Europe, including the European Court of Human Rights, of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan, of the Baku State University, as well as other stakeholders discussed the role of the European Convention in the protection of human rights and freedoms and in the international legal system in general.
