On 25 February 2025, the Council of Europe Office in Baku organised a round table discussion on multi-agency cooperation on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence.
The event brought together 25 representatives from state institutions, academia, and civil society. Discussing recent legislative amendments and their role in fostering cooperation among national authorities, participants highlighted the need for a common platform on preventing and combating violence against women to enhance coordination and address shared challenges.
Susana Pavlou, a Council of Europe expert shared best practices and European Court of Human Rights case law, outlining key policy-making stages and international standards.
The event was organised under the EU–Council of Europe Partnership for Good Governance programme, as part of the project “Preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence in Azerbaijan.”
