Launch of the HELP course on mediation in Azerbaijan

On 18 February 2025, a HELP (Council of Europe’s Programme on Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals) course developed by the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) on “The Importance of Quality of Justice in Mediation” was launched for a group of 50 Azerbaijani mediators, in cooperation with the Mediation Council and the Academy of Justice of Azerbaijan. Designed to strengthen the expertise of national mediators, the course focuses on international standards and CEPEJ tools for mediation. It aims to equip the participants with essential practical skills for effectively resolving disputes through mediation. The program consists of five sessions and will run for one month, featuring regular evaluations through online written assignments. Participants who will successfully complete the course will receive HELP certificates.

This activity was organised within the framework of the Project “Fostering mediation in Azerbaijan”, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance III (2023-2027).
