On 25 February 2025, an adapted version of the HELP (Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals) online course on violence against women was introduced for Azerbaijani police officers.

Given the need to strengthen the key role of police officers in preventing and addressing domestic violence, the course will equip law enforcement officers with essential knowledge and skills to handle cases effectively. It includes three modules covering the forms and impact of violence, victim-centred responses, and investigative techniques.

This initiative is part of the EU–Council of Europe Partnership for Good Governance, under the project “Preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence in Azerbaijan.”
