An exchange entitled “Zero tolerance to domestic violence in society” will be held on 9 December 2023 where Jeyhun Garajayev, Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan will present international standards on violence against women and domestic violence. The aim of this event, as part of the “16-day of Activism against Gender-Based violence – 2023, is to demonstrate how members of society can contribute to the promotion of zero tolerance against gender-based and domestic violence.
Lawyers and law students are invited to participate in this exchange. Due to limited seating, registration is necessary, and the “first come, first served” principle will be applied. The event will be conducted in Azerbaijani. Confirmed participants will receive an invitation by email with the time and venue address in Baku. Photographs will be taken during the exchanges, and the persons attending will be requested to sign a media consent form in advance.
This event is part of the European Union and Council of Europe joint programme “Partnership for Good Governance”, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe, and implemented by the Council of Europe, in the framework of the project “Preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence in Azerbaijan”.
