New publication in Azerbaijani on data collection and research in the field of violence against women

A new publication has been made available in Azerbaijani on the standards on data collection and research in the field of violence against women, as set out in the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, known as the Istanbul Convention.

This publication highlights the need for collecting data in a systematised way and provides guidance on how to do so and how to ensure that the data collection is well-co-ordinated, and that the data collected feeds into research, informing policies to prevent and combat violence against women, and is shared with the public.

The Azerbaijani translation of the publication “Ensuring data collection and research on violence against women and domestic violence: Article 11 of the Istanbul Convention” can be found here.

This translation was prepared in the framework of the project “Raising awareness of the Istanbul Convention and other gender equality standards in Azerbaijan,” funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance II 2019-2022.

For further information on the project, please visit the project’s website.

Further information on Partnership for Good Governance II is available on the PGGII website.
