Eurimages has been co-operating with various film markets in Europe for many years, among which those of Berlin, Cannes, and more recently Venice, three places where Eurimages has its own stand and organises receptions in co-operation with the Berlin Co-production Market, the Producers Network of the Cannes Film Market and the Gap Financing Market of Venice Production Bridge.

Until 2019, Eurimages had also developed partnerships with:

  • the Istanbul Film Festival where the Fund financed with an amount of €5,000 the Human Rights in Cinema Award (previously know as the FACE Award): this prize was aimed to reward the film of the Human Rights in Cinema section of the festival that best investigated social changes and individual dramas. In 2018, this prize went to Sharuna Bartas for the film Frost; in 2019, it was awarded to Enrique Castro Rios for the film Diciembres/Decembers; the last edition of this award went to Maryna Er Gorbach and Mehmet Bahadir Er for the film Omar be Biz/Omar and Us in 2020;
  • the Seville European Film Festival, which had been associated with Eurimages since 2005, in order to award the Eurimages Prize to a film supported by the Fund, thus increasing public awareness of quality films and promoting dialogue between new talents and established filmmakers.

Since 2016, the Eurimages Fund has been co-operating with several key festivals which award – in rotation – each year the Audentia Award amounting to €30,000 for best female director: this prize was awarded in Istanbul in 2016, in Locarno in 2017, at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2018, in Göteborg in 2019 and at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2020. In 2021, it was presented in the framework of the Festival du nouveau cinéma de Montréal.
